Each annual FIFA launch creates a stir amongst football fans. Champions league asked me to create unique in-game team kits that would be an object of desire for hardcore fans. I designed three versions of the equipment in close collaboration with EA (Electronic Arts). Two for outfield players and one for the goalkeeper. One of the outfield versions was a limited edition, accessible only through various competitions and promoted via influencers or sportspeople. I also designed a matching gamepad wrap. Design for the kits influenced the promotional campaign look, which rolled across social media space, emails, and landing pages. There were various mechanics to win gaming prizes and Champions League tournaments like tickets to the FIFA premiere, gaming accessories, and access to events. Thanks to the immense success of the kit, the authentic jersey was produced and sported by celebrities.
