Cori “Coco” Gauff is an American tennis player. She is the youngest player ranked in the top 100 by the Women’s Tennis Association and has a career-high ranking of world No. 19 in singles and No. 25 in doubles. She received a wildcard into the qualifying draw at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships, where she became the youngest player in the tournament’s history to qualify for the main draw. Gauff rose to prominence with a win over Venus Williams in the opening round at Wimbledon 2019.
Together with Microsoft, I designed an online app that analyses your tennis serve. The App uses Azure technology to analyze and compare your recorded serve with Coco Gauff’s serve. The result is an output video with a score that can then be shared on social media platforms. By utilizing talents like Coco Gauff as ambassadors of Microsoft, we can effectively position both Microsoft and tech leaders and innovators within tennis. Design elements created for this project were later used across many data visualization videos and various digital assets.
